Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by Freedom's Trumpet. Last updated: July 23, 2026.

Freedom's Trumpet ("we", "us") publishes a monthly community newspaper and offers an optional email and SMS notification service so readers know when a new issue is released. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

Your name (optional), email address (optional), and/or mobile phone number (optional) — only what you provide on the Subscribe form or in a Contact the Editors submission. We also collect basic account information (email, display name) when you register an account.

How we use it

We use your email and phone number solely to send you notifications (approximately one per month) when a new issue of Freedom's Trumpet is published, and to respond to messages you send us through the site.

No sharing of phone numbers or SMS consent

We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose your mobile phone number or SMS consent to any third party or affiliate for their own marketing purposes. Mobile information (phone numbers and SMS opt-in data) is used exclusively by Freedom's Trumpet to deliver the notifications you requested, and is shared only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) as required to transmit those messages on our behalf.

SMS terms

By checking the SMS consent box on the Subscribe page, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Freedom's Trumpet. Message frequency is approximately one message per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. See our SMS Terms & Conditions for full details.

Email terms

Email notifications include an unsubscribe link in every message. You can opt out at any time.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We may display third-party advertisements (Google AdSense) on some pages; those providers may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies.

Data retention

We retain your contact information until you unsubscribe or request deletion, after which it is removed from our active notification list.

Your choices

You may unsubscribe from SMS at any time by replying STOP, unsubscribe from email using the link in any message, or contact us to request deletion of your account or contact information.
